The Rose Care Club invited clients and their relatives to enjoy a lovely party to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
The Coronation of Elizabeth II took place on 2 June 1953 at Westminster Abbey in London when Elizabeth II took up the throne at the age of 25. Upon the death of her father, George VI, on 6 February 1952, she had been proclaimed Queen by her privy and executive councils with the coronation following more than a year later.
We wanted to Celebrate this historic event along with our clients by having our own Platinum Jubilee Celebration.
Getting together in Old Felixstowe, the Rose Care team enabled a wide range of clients who live independently in their homes to come together for a fun afternoon with friends and carers.
Everyone enjoyed a delicious afternoon of tea, cupcakes and all trimmings, with music from Tom and Terry on the piano and vocals. There were some popular tunes to sing along to and toes soon got tapping - some even just couldn't resist dancing!
All of our clients and carers had a fantastic time... some of our clients even remembered the Queen's Coronation in 1953, so it was a very special event.

The Rose Care Club is something we have run successfully for a number of years - a way of encouraging those who live alone to get together and enjoy some company in a safe, fun and well organised environment.
