Shopping

We help with shopping trips in Felixstowe, so the choice is always yours – Rose Care Services Suffolk

Shopping is an integral part of our lives - and there’s no reason why anyone should miss out just because they are less mobile. At Rose Care we can accompany you to the shops in or out of town. Our carers are fully insured to take you out in their car, including any equipment you need.

Shopping can also have added bonuses, like bumping into friends and acquaintances or taking the time to visit a café and enjoy a cuppa and a chat.

During the recent periods of lockdown, people became isolated. Now taking a shopping trip out accompanied by a carer can help with rebuilding confidence and connecting with the local community.

Choose what you’d like to buy

At Rose Care, we understand that having the freedom to see what’s on offer and choose what you want to buy is all part of feeling independent.

Whether it’s food shopping or selecting a treat for the grandchildren; shopping for clothes, household items or even a plant to brighten up the window sill, one of our professional carers can be by your side to help as you wish, but the choice will always be yours.

Shopping is important and often a very personal thing too - especially if there’s a card or gift to be picked out for a friend or loved one. Ultimately, it’s a way of self-expression and showing care for others.

Getting help with your shopping in Felixstowe

We are happy to offer our clients a range of options when it comes to getting help with the shopping. If a helping hand is needed to check what is already in the cupboard or with compiling a shopping list, then please just ask. All of our friendly care team live in the Felixstowe area and are generally familiar with the local independent shops and supermarkets.

If you live close to the town, our carers are happy to accompany you whether you choose to go on foot or in a wheelchair.

Our carers are also fully insured to take you out in their car and can take any equipment you need along too.

If you are unable to accompany the carer to the shops, then they will go for you. It is possible to take cash - but not your payment card – or alternatively the Rose Care team can arrange to hold a float at our office which the carer can use to pay for the shopping. Either way, you will be given a copy of the receipt.
