Michelle Nichols

Office Manager

Michelle is Rose Care’s all-important first point of client contact and part of our out-of-hours assistance team as well as Rose Care’s financial controller.

Background

Born in Suffolk, Michelle moved to Felixstowe in 1989 and worked in the cash office at the Co-op whilst her children were young. When they grew older, she moved to an administrative role within a Felixstowe shipping company.

In 2015 Michelle switched to a life in Rose Care’s busy engine room as our Office Manager.

Calmly in charge of phones and finance

Michelle is responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the Rose Care office. As generally the first point of contact, she is the voice of Rose Care for many of our clients and their families contacting us by phone and the friendly face greeting people when they visit our walk-in office.

When concerns about the health or wellbeing of our clients are raised by our carers, Michelle is most often the one who makes contact with relevant GPs and other health professionals. She is also part of the team on call during out of office hours, giving her time to assist with queries from clients, family members and our carers alike.

Last, but definitely not least, her Office Manager duties include responsibility for finance including the production of invoices, credit control and the efficient management of accounts and wages system.
