Kerry Hay

Team Leader

Working within the Rose Care family for over a decade, Kerry is our dedicated Care Team Leader primarily responsibile for the supervision, training and consistent high standards of our home carers.

Background

Kerry has lived in Felixstowe all her life, taking on in various roles in the care sector including working at the St Felix Home for the Blind. Joining us in 2010 initially as a carer, she has risen through the Rose Care ranks, originally being promoted into a Senior Carer position before becoming our Care Team Leader.

Kerry has her level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care and gets a huge sense of satisfaction from her multi-faceted job – “I couldn’t see myself doing anything else!”

Caring for our staff, as well as our clients

At Rose Care, we make our staff’s training and welfare a real priority, because we know that it is key to delivering our exacting high standards of quality client care.

As our Care Team Leader, Kerry has responsibility for supervising our carers and discussing their training needs along with any concerns they may have regarding their rotas. She doesn’t just organise staff training, but ensures Rose Care’s high standards are met by also carrying out spot checks, and having discussions with our Client Co-ordinators after their reviews with clients.

When it comes to our recruitment and induction processes, Kerry has a key role in conducting interviews for new carers alongside our Registered Manager and ensuring that those new to our team soon feel settled and part of the Rose Care family. She organizes Rose Care’s bespoke induction programme and works to support new carers to achieve their potential.

Very much a hands-on part of the care team, Team Leader Kerry has her own care calls to undertake which keep her in touch with clients and their carers and liaises closely with health and social care professionals to help our clients achieve good outcomes.

Kerry is part of Rose Care’s on-call team which answers the phone and deals with client and carer concerns out of hours.
