We train our carers to administer medication in addition to offering practical and compassionate support.

dementia care and palliative/ end of life care.

Our professional home care jobs are wide ranging, with roles for new carers as well as experienced care professionals or those with relevant Health and Social Care qualifications.

Our care-givers go into our clients’ personal homes to support them in their independent living. We care for individuals in their homes throughout Felixstowe and in the neighbouring villages.

We also have home care work in Felixstowe for care-givers with experience in dementia care, caring for people with specific degenerative diseases, and palliative care.

We will try to allocate you clients with whom you have something in common and who need visits at times which also match your preferred working hours.

We will also try if at all possible to ensure that your clients are on your doorstep - not the other side of town, but we do require some flexibility in this.

Rose Care home carers support individuals in daily tasks and encourage them to do things for themselves too.

Duties can range from specific aspects of personal care (washing, dressing, medication regimes, preparing meals etc.) to help with shopping or housework; sharing a cuppa, catch up or jigsaw puzzle; accompanying a client to an appointment, event or on a gentle outing.

A home carer may enable an individual to continue to lead a relatively independent life, or perhaps become progressively more independent during rehabilitation after a hospital stay.

Showing kindness, consideration and sharing a warm smile is a prerequisite!

We will agree your preferred working days / hours which fit with your home life and other commitments.

When you have clients to visit, you will be expected to keep good time.

It is important to turn up consistently at the specific time we give (or within the agreed 15 minute time-slot either side), so clients can rely on you to be there.

You will start to have some duties following your induction period - but only if you and the Rose Care team feel confident that you’re ready.

Usually, you can expect to build up to full hours over a few weeks.
